Dr Edwini Kessie joined the OCTA in 2012 as the Chief Trade Adviser. Prior to joining the OCTA, Dr Kessie worked as a Counselor at the World Trade Organization (WTO). He holds a Doctorate Degree in Laws from the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia, two Master of Laws degrees from the University of Toronto, Canada and the University of Brussels, Belgium and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ghana. Dr Kessie is admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Courts of England and Wales, New South Wales, Australia and Ghana. He is a part-time lecturer in international trade law at the World Trade Institute, Bern, Switzerland, the University of Lausanne, Switzerland and the Universities of Pretoria and Western Cape in South Africa. Dr Kessie has participated in many international conferences on international trade and written a number of articles on international trade issues. His principal areas of interest are regional integration, trade and development and dispute settlement.
