Mr Imran Shahryar – Trade Policy Officer

Mr Imran Shahryar joined the OCTA in April 2015 as a Trade Policy Officer.  Prior to joining the OCTA, Imran was an Economist in the UK Government’s Department for International Development (DFID), where he worked in the Trade for Development Department and the International Financial Institutions Department. Previously, he spent two years working as an Economist in the Government of Sierra Leone’s Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, as an Overseas Development Institute (ODI) Fellow. Imran holds an MSc in Political Economy of Development from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, and an MA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Edinburgh.
